This is the last of my scheduled posts, and the last of my manicures. I decided to go out with a bang and experiment with sponging, a technique I have not really fully mastered. But I love it! I think I made a mistake picking such a herpes-tastic glitter. 😦 It was so hard to clean up, and you can still see some residue in the following photos. I apologize!

I began with a base color from Avon, also in my haul recently. This is Luxe Lavender, a very beautiful pale lilac. In love, I am.

I sponged Milani Purple Gleam on the tips and stamped with Sally Hansen Chrome in Black Pearl, with Konad M60. Inside the flowers are bullion beads from a Bundle Monster nail art package.

Here comes pic spam!

Topped off with Seche Vite, of course.
I am almost done with  my first bottle, wow… But it makes sense, I do other people’s nails and finish it off with SV, and a friend comes over and uses some of it too so that’s why it would go so quickly.

This is hands down one of my most favorite manicures EVAR.

Blurry, but this is an extremely good representative of the color in person.

Nubar Petunia Sparkle over Color Club Where’s the Soiree? with scotch tape 😉 So easy Shauna could do it!!

I used this manicure as a reward system for me while cramming over Paradise Lost last night– when I finished 200 lines, I would get to paint on a section and when I finished a book I could do the whole hand. It did take me the whole three books of Paradise Lost that I had to finish by then, to complete the mani. 🙂 Slower yes, but rewarding.

Base color: Orly Blue Collar; Stamping: Flowers was Wet N Wild Saved by the Blue and the butterflies was Sally Hansen Chrome in Anemone. Used Bundle Monster stamps.

It really looked a lot better in person– for some reason this picture is choosing to show all the ugly imperfections!! 😐 Not cool.

Began with three coats of Essie Lilacism. Yes. It is sheer and streaky. Pretty pastel color though.

Layered Sally Hansen’s Hidden Treasure over it… Too subtle for me actually, but it was pretty.

China Glaze Crackle in Fault Line over it. Liked this one quite a bit.

Was hard to see the flakies through, though. Maybe if I added several coats of the flakies? Anyway I scrapped it, and ultimately went outside with…

Essie Lilacism, stamped with Fauxnad and used bullion beads from the BM gem set over the natural dots in the stamping pattern. Stamp color: Sally Hansen Chrome in Royal Purple

Pretty 🙂 The bullion beads were a tad too bumpy for me though.

I began with Color Club’s Where’s the Soiree, which is a GREAT one-coater black. I originally tried out Orly Liquid Vinyl and it was horrid– it split apart when it dried, wtf? It was also brownish black, eww. I am also not sure why the quality is so crap in this photo.

Layered the black with Jesse’s Girl in Confetti, I think the effect is similar to RBL’s Scrangie– it definitely reminds me of beetle wings, but a lot more purple. It looks rough, highly textured and cray cray in the picture but I promise you everything was smooth.

Layered over this is China Glaze’s Cracked Concrete, from their Crackle collection 🙂

Right hand. Topped with Seche Vite, I feel this helps the shimmer show through while the matte effect kind of quietens things down.

OFF TOPIC, sorta: I ordered two half pearl wheels from Born Pretty, and there is SOOO much static cling in them! The pearls literally fly out when they’re turned. How do I reduce the amount of static that’s built up in them? Swipe a dryer sheet over it??
