Green: Orly Meet Me Under the Mistletoe; Purple: China Glaze Flying Dragon (neon); gold: Orly Glitz & Glamour. Definitely my favorite mani so far– it just looks great with my skin tone, however the purple is not correct on my monitor. It’s a lot more vibrant. Oh well.
This manicure was chosen by Nick, when I told him to pick colors he gave me three and said “Welcome to Mardi Gras!” So looks like Mardi Gras is in January? 😛
I love sparkly green. Layered over the purple, it’s difficult to spot the green in real life– people thought it was teal or black.
Check out the pink and blue sparkly goodness.
In this picture you can see how the Flying Dragon really dried– it’s a neon with pink/blue shimmer that dries matte. Weird! I hemmed and hawed for a minute or two about applying topcoat, because it would detract the matte– or perhaps I could just put topcoat on the green/gold. Liane pointed out that Flying Dragon really is gorgeous with a topcoat, and I hesitantly put it on, and loved it. I wonder what you think? Should I have gone with a more mixed media approach?
