Began with three coats of Essie Lilacism. Yes. It is sheer and streaky. Pretty pastel color though.

Layered Sally Hansen’s Hidden Treasure over it… Too subtle for me actually, but it was pretty.

China Glaze Crackle in Fault Line over it. Liked this one quite a bit.

Was hard to see the flakies through, though. Maybe if I added several coats of the flakies? Anyway I scrapped it, and ultimately went outside with…

Essie Lilacism, stamped with Fauxnad and used bullion beads from the BM gem set over the natural dots in the stamping pattern. Stamp color: Sally Hansen Chrome in Royal Purple

Pretty 🙂 The bullion beads were a tad too bumpy for me though.

Here it is, right after completion.

Then I felt it still needed some jazzing… So I added french tips.

I’m a little clumsy with the BM stripe stamp, and didn’t line this one up well at all LOL

Sparkly base: Nubar Hyacinth Sparkle; Stamped stripes: OPI Rumple’s Wiggin; French tip: OPI Purple With a Passion (pictured above with the bottle)

The next day after my OPI’s Do You Lilac It? with Shatter, I felt it was boring and needed pizzazz. So I added glitter, naturally.

My Nubar haul also came in coincidentally, so what we have on top is Nubar Purple Fire. The name is very misleading– it isn’t purple. Just an explosion of glitter 🙂

Check out the colors standing out!

Hehe attempt at punning… Let’s see how it goes? Stretching it? Eh, maybe. Ok.

We have OPI Do You Lilac It? here. Which is a very light lilac, more of pink actually to me, under OPI Shatter. I experimented with thickness and direction of the brush strokes, and as you can see it does create a very different look.

Pardon the chop job hehe 😀

The pinky is the thickest layer I ever did, and horizontal– you can see how chunky it really is.

Yes I felt the need for a million pictures. Thoughts? Do you like horizontal or vertical strokes?

Also, you know– It seems that Shatter doesn’t work on everyone, or over any polish? My roomie begged to borrow it and… It didn’t work for her! It just dried matte and clumpy on the top of her toenails. She did choose a Sinful Colors polish, but I doubt that Shatter would have refused to work over a certain polish? Weird. 😛

China Glaze is releasing a Crackle collection, which will have different crackle colors!! I am SO ordering that when it comes out! 😀

I love this collection already and I only have on one of their colors, Hi-Res. Holographic polishes have been my favorite since I was little probably because back then I kept my polish on until they completely chipped off… like my *coughadultcough* cousin still does! With the holographic polishes I would never get bored of looking at them, since I’d just have to tilt my hand and then there would be a dazzling explosion of color…

It looks gritty in the pictures but I swear it isn’t— it comes on and feels like glass. It also does this polish NO justice. Check out the video if you can, it’s kinda blurry. But it shows the glitterification :D..
