Nick chose Wet n Wild Wild Card for me to wear. I test swatched it on my thumbnail and saw that this stuff was gonna be SHEER. So I layered it over black because I’m a rockstar.
Isn’t it lovely though?! It’s a maroon duochrome. 😀 I dipped my ring finger into glitter. Next time I would just sprinkle it on instead of plunking the fingertip into a pot of glitter xD I “smoothed” it out with a topcoat.

Yes, that’s right for the price of One Pink Wednesday you get THREE! 😉
(Is it obvious that it’s just me trying to catch up on my backlog? Ehh.)

Apologies for the terrible lighting 😦 The stamp was a semi-fail too.
Base color: OPI Sparrow Me the Drama (another lover for the name! hah!)
Stamping Color: Wet n Wild Black Creme
Stamp: Konad M59
The next week, I took out OPI Strawberry Margarita. It’s a bold, vibrant almost-honeysuckle pink creme, and layered that with China Glaze White Cap from their Anchors Away Spring 2011 collection.
At first I couldn’t decide if I wanted it all matte, or glossy. So I tried an accent nail and then decided…
And now for my final look…
For this one, I began with a coat of Revlon Luxe Laque, a dusty mauve-ish pink creme. It’s not on the range of Pepto Bismol, nor Barbie, but leaning towards almost pastel.

Then I layered Luxe Laque with Wet n Wild Hannah Pinktana, a scattered holographic glitter suspended in a clear base.
I think they go together nicely 🙂

How many of you missed my cheesy blog titles?!
I began with Sinful Colors Last Chance, an awesome dark green. My swatch of it is kind of bad, I didn’t realize it was blurry 😦
Then I covered it up with Nicole by OPI’s Brilliant Idea. You can find this at Target– I think this is in their new spring/summer collection. It’s an awesome, densely packed, multi shaped chartreuse glitter.
Isn’t it awesome? Here, have some moar pics 😀

Another one of my great closeups. I’m getting so much better at these!
Sadly this slipped right off the next day when I was doing cleaning 😦 I’m blaming a nail strengthener that I put underneath. It was like gel, and had an interesting wet consistency. I think that compromised the polish’s ability to stay on. Or maybe because this was like five layers!

Yep we’re looking at this again! Remember when I did the China Glaze Island Escape over white polish? Well, I decided to do the same with the Misa Paradise Shore polishes that I brought back to Texas with me!

These are the polishes that I brought home with me. I didn’t bring Summer Love or Mermaid Dreams along, alas.
When I originally posted the whole collection swatch, a commenter noted that they were a tad too sheer for her, and I agree. I don’t like VNL much, because my nails are kinda stained 😦 I’d have to slap on a fake white tip or use one of those nail crayon thingies.
So I decided to revisit this collection, and layered them all over Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in White On (a decent white, your usual streaky formula for most whites, but a controllable brush).

Only one nail for each color because I’m lazy, and because a hand has five nails 😉 I really liked how Under my Sunbrella and Mega Margarita looked over white!
Check out this close up:
You can see the lemon yellow flakies in Under My Sunbrella! The shimmer in both polishes was brought out a lot more strongly rather being hidden in the formula when it was on my naked nails.

Krystal Waters did not change that much over white. Personally I think it still looks the same, albeit a tone lighter.

Endless Keys, close up. This one looks good in the picture up thar, but that’s just my photo skillz improving 😉 In real life this orange-with-gold-shimmer polish maximized on the streaky base of Sally Hansen White On, and it was a cuticle dragfest. =\ If you can control that, layering this over white is a great idea. It turns a darker, tangerine color.

Look at the index finger. See what I mean?
What do you think? 🙂 I have an another question for you readers (I also asked this on my Facebook and Twitter pages, but I’d like your opinion if you don’t follow these social sites). What do you think of polish names on pictures? Kind of like what I have been doing lately. Personally, I like them and I think they help me quickly identify the polish color name for googling. But do they help you? Do you like them? Or do they get in the way? 🙂 Chime in with your opinion!

I encourage you to click ’em to make ’em bigger. I’m starting a new system of linking back to my Flickr account, because Picasa washes out my pictures and makes me pout and frown.
The base is Color Club Where’s the Soiree? The version of this color that I have, is a simple black creme. It is topped with Orly Prisma Gloss Silver an amazing holographic topcoat. It is AMAZING let me reiterate!! I want to have babies with it.
I taped off the ends for a funky french. It was so rock star. I told Shauna that she had to have this polish, and these pictures are why!
Here’s a closeup/blurry shot to show the SPARKLES.
mmmm. Sparkles.
