For Monday, we have the sixth Lippmann featured! This one is Today Was A Fairytale and it has diamond bits in it! (They probably said that to justify the price, but you could go around saying “I’ve got diamonds on my nails.” and feel luxe)
Pictured next to Essie Limited Addiction, a polish I used to layer the Fairytale polish with.

A pic of Limited Addiction. The color is much darker than this, and I think this is my “the Red.” I am not sure. I need to do research.

This is one coat. You can see why I chose to layer this polish because one) hello price tag and two) it’s silver glitter suspended in a clear jelly base. It would never get opaque!

Hexagonal and small glitter, a la Bad Romance and Across the Universe. Purdy! Unfortunately I destroyed this manicure quickly so I took it off before I remembered to take out the matte topcoat D:

Today we have Deborah Lippmann Superstar, featured for the third day of the Lippmann theme week (and a day)!!

Sup?

Superstar is another lovely dense glitter. It has small dark brown and copper flecks of glitter suspended in a light brown/espresso jelly base. I like this one, it’s a sophisticated color.

The only problem I had with this was that it’s very very gritty. I had two thick coats of Seche Vite, and you could still feel the bumpiness (not the rough sort.)

Then of course I had to… Break out the matte topcoat! I used Essie Matte About You in this one.

I like this effect, the gold/copper was brought out a lot. The dark espresso base wasn’t so overpowering anymore.

Enjoy 🙂

Some lacquer girls got together and created this “club” and I’ve jumped on the bandwagon 😉 If you watched Mean Girls you’ll know what’s up with this. Every Wednesday will feature a theme of pink polish, and I have one for this week.

Essie Bachelorette Bash. It’s hard to see in this picture, but it was topped with Essie Kisses & Bises, a rainbow duochromatic sheer topper.
It’s been a while since I did the shatter look, so here it is! After a hiatus my Shatter bottle formula went a bit wonky and ruined an entire hand, which I had to redo D:

I was inspired by Emerald Sparkled’s look, and created something similar.

Sorry for the crap photo quality, but this is the most color accurate photo I could get of Essie Turquoise & Caicos, a color that my camera insists is blue. But my Flip camera sees otherwise!

This is okay, but not spot on.
I painted on Essie Lapis of Luxury and Essie Turquoise & Caicos, skittle style first. Then I painted the other color on the base using a little paint brush. 🙂

I don’t know… Something about the argyle stamp just doesn’t like me.

Base- Essie Velvet Voyeur, and Pure Ice Sterling Silver for stamping.
While we’re here at it, here’s a swatch of Essie Velvet Voyeur:

I didn’t clean up to show you the formula is kind of runny, and especially with vampy shades like this it’s v. easy to make a holy mess. D: But the color is gorgeous, it’s a deep chocolaty burgundy.
