Nick chose Wet n Wild Wild Card for me to wear. I test swatched it on my thumbnail and saw that this stuff was gonna be SHEER. So I layered it over black because I’m a rockstar.
Isn’t it lovely though?! It’s a maroon duochrome. 😀 I dipped my ring finger into glitter. Next time I would just sprinkle it on instead of plunking the fingertip into a pot of glitter xD I “smoothed” it out with a topcoat.

The series of scheduled posts 😉 I will be gone to Florida for Spring Break, and am only bringing my Nailtique treatment so tonight I went all out making various looks to post over the week 🙂
Base color: Color Club Where’s the Soiree?
Blue shiny thing: Sally Hansen Hi-Def in Spectrum (which is a lot more gorgeous than the picture and uploading processes allow. It’s more iridescent, green-blue. Mmmm)

I began with Color Club’s Where’s the Soiree, which is a GREAT one-coater black. I originally tried out Orly Liquid Vinyl and it was horrid– it split apart when it dried, wtf? It was also brownish black, eww. I am also not sure why the quality is so crap in this photo.
Layered the black with Jesse’s Girl in Confetti, I think the effect is similar to RBL’s Scrangie– it definitely reminds me of beetle wings, but a lot more purple. It looks rough, highly textured and cray cray in the picture but I promise you everything was smooth.
Layered over this is China Glaze’s Cracked Concrete, from their Crackle collection 🙂
Right hand. Topped with Seche Vite, I feel this helps the shimmer show through while the matte effect kind of quietens things down.
OFF TOPIC, sorta: I ordered two half pearl wheels from Born Pretty, and there is SOOO much static cling in them! The pearls literally fly out when they’re turned. How do I reduce the amount of static that’s built up in them? Swipe a dryer sheet over it??

So being a Texan I had to pick up the collection and see for myself this “sorbet” finish. This is going to be a huge post with swatches and whatnot 😛
We have the sorbets here. Oh look.. Don’t two, maybe four, of them look SIMILAR already??
The … not sorbets.
FYI: The sorbet shades were dry when their pictures were taken. I do like this finish, I can imagine it would look adorable on toes and nubby fingers. With my kind of long nails (they’re not that long, but if I can’t take my contacts out easily– that’s long to me :P) I had an issue with the visible nail line– three to five coats each for the sorbets just to have some coverage!! Anyway, this finish makes you look like you have constantly wet nails– the finish is very “juicy” and like some bloggers say, between a creme and jelly. I’m not saying it’s juicy just because this finish is named sorbet, not at all…
This is the most color accurate photo I could take of this enigma. It’s cool!! It’s grey, with white and silver shimmer. In the bottle it looks blue as you can see, but appears silvery on the nail.
